It's been a while is an understatement here, it has been more like ages since I created a layout.
On twitter I read that Celine had posted a sketch on her blog and this inspired me to actually get some stash out and play along!

Last weekend Julie Comstock from Cosmo Cricket was here in the Netherlands to attend a Trade show. Since I was going to help her out we plannend a fun day sightseeing ahead of it.
Early in the morning on Saturday (my alarm was set at 4.30AM OUCH!) I headed to Amsterdam airport to pick up Julie. I was a bit worried not finding her since her cellphone was flat but, as soon as I walked up to the gate, we almost bumped in to each other!
At first I thought Julie was a very light traveler but nothing close to that, her suitcase (which contained all the samples and display material for the Trade show) didn't made her layover, which was kind of tight (Lindsay I will never let you book my flight!) Good thing that Julie is a very expieranced traveler; always carry one change in your hand luggage!
Time for Starbucks!!!
Since the sun was shining we decited to head to Amsterdam to enjoy the day!
After a small breakfast we first headed to the Anne Frank house. Even thought it was my second visit; it's so impressive!
From there we walked towards the canals to take a tour through Amsterdam. So much fun playing tourist in your own country! And Julie enjoyed it too I guess, she stayed awake!
After the tour we called the airport and found out that Julie suitcase made the journey accross as well! They told us the courier would bring it to Julie's hotel. PHEW!
Time to go and visited some windmills!

Where you find windmills, woodenshoes aren't far away. Who said they are old fashion?!
We got a message from the courier that the suitcase would be delivered the next day between 7 and 12 AM.....uhhh the trade show starts at 9AM! I put up my sweetest voiced calling the courier explaining them why we needed that suitcase early in the morning. I guess it worked!
The next morning at 7.55 AM Julie got reunited with here suitcase! We headed over to the tradeshow to teach make & takes with the Glubers. Of course Europe loved the glubers too. Julie and I had lots of fun and I even taught her a couple of Dutch words. All good words of course, if I recall well ;)
Julie it was so great having you here and thanks for all the laughters :) So glad to call you my friend!

On Saturday July 30th I headed off to Borken, Germany to teach my "Best Friends" workshop!
I was really looking forward to teaching this workshop and to see the lovely owner of Scrapabilly, Sylvia, again. The store is rather new and if you are in Germany I suggest you go and visit, it's an amazing store!
We were working in a Punky Sprouts mini album (By the way, since a short while I am a designer team member of Punky Sprouts!)
We used the fun "Social Club" line from Cosmo Cricket.
In the album we worked with the amazing Lawn Fawn stamps; check out the website to see all the great stamps they have! Thanks again Kelly Marie for sponsoring me with the lovely "Say Cheese" sets!
During the workshop we also used the "Pro Markers" from "Letraset". I showed some fun techniques using those markers.
You should really try them, they are amazing and can be used in so many ways!
I will be back at Scrapabilly with a fun mini album workshop on October 22nd. More details on that soon!
This "Best Friends" workshop I will be teaching again, in my own studio! A schedule can be found on this blog in a short while!

I must be honest, I do not mind having the holidays behind us. Of course days like that are great. Days with the family, Noa free from school and even I had some days of. But now, being at the start of a new year, I do not mind getting back on my schedule. Lots of people say that we start the new year with a blank sheet, a change to start new things, chance things, set goals etc. I already had my goals set before 2010 started. Some of these goals already were set in the beginning at 2009… Some worked out, some worked out partly and some didn’t even came close to being successful.
My weight is still an issue but, instead of feeling lousy and have sleepless night about the fact I didn't reached that goal in 2009, I looked at myself and knew it was in accepting, accepting me as the person I am. According some people that isn’t to bad ;) After that I can concentrate on eating healthy in a less forced way. As a back up I now have Julie’s new weblog for some great support!
So, new chances on that in 2010!
At the end of 2009 I already started to work out some new workshops and that continuous as we speak. After CHA I will work out the rest in order to be able to teach with the latest and the greatest!
Upcoming are all day workshops once a month on Saturdays in Venlo and….
I have something more exclusive up my sleeve (read event)! I am busy working out the details and looking for the perfect location at this moment as well but as you can imagine having CHA just around the corner it is a bit much to work out all at once.
Speaking about CHA…..I am working on projects with Cosmo Crickets “older” releases and the new once will be here shortly! Of course I am not aloud to tell you anything but saying that it is "THA BOMB!!" wouldn’t mind I guess ;) Next to working on projects for CHA I will be attending CHA!! I wanted to visit this for the last few years and now I am going…I am so excited! Not only to visit the show but meet up with Cosmo Cricket and so many others! And to make it all even more exciting I will be teaching make & takes at the Cosmo Cricket booth. So if you are there please stop by to say hi! And as long if they do not have me dance like this…
I should be fine, right?! (Love you guys!) Only 18 days before I leave!
Tattered Angels also has a lot coming up. Can’t wait to see all their new stuff at CHA as well.

I know, I promised to update my blog yesterday…but a lack of sleep kept me from it. After two nights of less than 4 hours….i could use the extra rest ;)
But, no complaining! Israel was terrific! I had such a great time! The girls who were in my classes were the best, so creative, so sweet and so much fun to hang around with. So prepare for a looonggg post ;)
As you know I flew in on Wednesday. After Netanella picked me up from Tel Aviv airport we went to her house. What a house she has. Everything is still brand new and so tasteful decorated.
After that I was brought to the apartment were I stayed during the whole event. That was great as well!
In the evening it was time for dinner for which we went to downtown Tel Aviv were we met Karen at a great Israelian restaurant. The Lamb kabab was outstanding :D

After a good night sleep I went to Netanella’s were everything was set up and made ready for the start of the event.
In the early evening the first weekend attendees started to arrive. Of course they all wanted to see Netanella’s brand new store which is at her house. I loved it! Look at all the yummie scrapbook supplies but also that counter and cupboard!
After all 25 ladies arrived they took place at their seats and got their goodie bag…now not just a goodie bag, a GOODIE bag!
That same evening I gave my first two workshops, Pretty Me and Artistique (both Cosmo Cricket)
It was a great day and the trend was set. everybody had fun and I was glad to bring it up to the expectations ;)
So Friday we started with a great lunch and again two workshops that day. Bloom, Smile & Enjoy and Today do.
Ilil is the little one still inside?? ;) 
After an other outstanding meal (Netanella’s mom is just such a good cook!!) there was a great evening with a big lottery and fun games.
with lots of Cosmo Cricket prices :D
(now Anat of course I expect to see the results of that Wooden album together with Mr. Campy ;) )
On Saturday we were on for an early start. The last day with this group. Happy Family and Living the everyday were the workshops planned.
Yael the pomegran arrived home save and has now a nice place in my home) 
I had so much fun with this group that it was a bit sad to say goodbye. Thanks ladies for all the fun and the nice gifts so many of you brought along! I hope we will see each other again sometimes :)
That night we went for dinner in an Italian restaurant. Limo and Ahuva went along with Netanella and me and we had a blast! Thanks ladies for a great evening!
Because there were so many ladies that wanted to attend the weekend and there were any so many spots Netanella arranged for an other day of workshops. So on Sunday we had 2 times 2 workshops.Again the ladies were great and i had a great time teaching! So here are some pictures from Sunday.
After going to bed at 3.20 AM my alarm went at 7.30 AM (auch!) I stuffed the last thing into my suitcase and than Netanella came to pick me up for a quick tours trough Jerusalem.

I was very impressed being at the Western wall. Of course I left a little note while I was there, wrote down some small things and a good health for my sweet friend.
It was a shame I wasn’t able to visit this country longer than these few days…after this short visit Netanella had to bring me to the airport so I could catch my flight on time. After a long check up at the security desk at the airport where all my luggage was checked and I needed to explain them what a heat tool was and where all these stamps and chipboard were meant for, I was on my way home.
Netanella thanks for having me over and for being such a wonderful host! Ladies thank you all for making the workshops to what they were and turning this into one big success! I hope to see you all again in Israel or maybe here in the Netherlands!!

An other quick note from Israel. After 3 days of workshops where we had lot of fun i said goodbye to the weekend attendees. Ladies thank you all so much for taking my classes and making it so much fun!!image1.jpg
